Advanta Carp Rods, engineered by Daiwa Exclusive to Angling Direct

 

'Slim power' is the best way to describe the new Advanta range of carp rods.

Featuring a blend of high performance carbons and 3K cloth to produce a crisp and highly responsive feel with stacks of torque resistance built in. This lets you load the rod well into its action but it will recover evenly ensuring accuracy.

 

The progressive taper is maintained thanks to the seamless over cap joint and the balance enhanced by the use of lighter framed single leg SiC guides. As well as having Fuji guides throughout, the rods also feature a Fuji DPS Black hood, Daiwa reel seat and a stylish ultra slim shrink rubber handle.

 

Extra cosmetic looks include a high quality brushed aluminum butt cap, matt low glare finish and subtle light silver text and logo on the underside of the blank. All these extras set these rods apart from other rods in the same price range and ensure that these rods not only perform well, but also look the part to.

 

One neat little extra which was added whilst these rods were in development, was the introduction of a 1 thread marker, this ensures that when plumbing the depth you are able to accurately measure a foot of line from the reel every time.

The rods are available in two different test curves, 2.75lb for the all round carp angler and a 3.25lb model for the big hitters. The 3.25lb model is also available in two different models, with the option of choosing either a 40mm or 50mm butt ring.

 

To accompany these rods there is also a very special Spod/Marker rod available, built on the same blanks and finished to the same high specification as the carp rods, this has a test curve of 4lb and is perfect for all your spod and marker float work.
